Joint & Bone Health

Scroll down to products

 Joint pain also known as arthralgia most common with ageing and is something that can cause considerable discomfort. Every movement we make requires us to use our joints. The cartilage between our joints is the protective element and the fluid found in our joints (synovial fluid) supports and lubricates for pain free movement. Inflammation and aches in our joints are caused when the cartilage is damaged and the bones start to rub. This occurs with different people in different areas and at different stages of life. Generally some damage is caused by the time we reach our 40’s and continues through our mature years.   Most common areas of discomfort are;

  • Neck pain
  • Back pain- particularly our lower spine
  • Elbow pain
  • Wrist pain
  • Finger pain
  • Ankle pain
  • Foot pain

The symptoms that bring on joint pain are wide but include

  • Ageing
  • Accident including fractures
  • Sports injuries
  • Illness
  • Joint alignement issues
  • Posture

Many people just accept this discomfort as part of the ageing process when in fact there are a number of things that can assist greatly with common joint issues and joint pain both individually and collectively including

  • Gentle mobility exercise and stretching
  • The correct light tailored gym workout from a personal trainer who is proficient at working with people who have bone and joint issues
  • The swiss ball workout for lower back pain
  • Maintenance of the correct body weight
  • A balanced diet with green leaf vegetables.

And probably the easiest and most effective solution; dietary supplements. Supplements such as Krill Oil, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Cat’s claw bark powder, Boswellia serrate to name just a few can all assist.
